Thank you all for making the
2025 WildFire Season amazing!
We’ll see you in 2026!
WildFire will have two events in 2026:
Spring – May 22-25
Fall – September 18-21
J.N. Webster Scout Reservation, Ashford CT
What is WildFire Retreat?
WildFire Retreat is a spinning and flow arts retreat situated on a picturesque campground in Ashford, Connecticut and offers a diverse selection of classes on poi, hoop, staves, dance, teaching, fire safety, performance, and so much more!
With a participation-based, skill-share philosophy, this event is as much for aspiring beginners looking to try something totally new as it is for established spinners looking to level up and build their network!
The retreat is open Friday at 3:00 PM to Monday at 12:00 PM, with classes all day Saturday and Sunday. Meals are included from Friday dinner to Monday breakfast with the cost of your ticket!
All attendees volunteer at least 5 hours of time at the retreat (sign up after you buy tickets!) It’s a great way to meet people, participate, and allows us to keep ticket prices low!

Why do you need me to volunteer?
WildFire’s success and sustainability depends directly on your participation through volunteering. We ask that you sign up for at least 5 hours of shifts when you purchase your ticket.
- Our volunteer shifts are super fun, and great way to meet some awesome folks.
- They allow us to keep ticket prices as low as possible.
- Only ticket holders can signup for shifts — you will be given the link once you’ve registered.
There are plenty of ways to volunteer that aren’t listed here as well – teaching workshops, participating in the Showcase, Organizing, and more are all ways to participate! For more information, please contact info@wildfireretreat.org
We love our volunteers!
How do I get more involved?
Love to collaborate AND create shenanigans? Want to gain experience in event planning and lead teams of volunteers (this can go on your resume!) Are you a Kitchen guru or spreadsheet master (or want to become one?) You sound like an awesome candidate to be an Event Organizer!
Our Organizers take care of leading the various areas that come with putting together WildFire Retreat! From constructing the Dome, Greeting and check-in, leading meal cooking and cleanup, coordinating the Showcase, and so much more – there is an Organizer position that’s right for you!

Who runs WildFire Retreat?
WildFire Retreat has a dedicated team of Directors, Managers, and Organizers that work behind the scenes and up front to plan and coordinate the event each time.

The WildFire Retreat event is supported by the Spinning Arts Foundation (SAF), which is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created in 2013 to spread the spinning arts and build community among spinning artists.
SAF not only supports WildFire Retreat, but also functions as a resource for those wishing to start their own events, programs, or organizations.
